Dog’s Day of Summer is one of the many things to do in St. Catharines.

St. Catharines is the largest city in the Niagara Region, as well as one of the largest cities in Ontario. This city is sometimes called “The Garden City” because of the many green spaces around town, and it is one of the largest telecommunication centres in North America. St. Catharines Mazda wants you to know all the fun you can have this summer!

The Dog’s Day of Summer event at the St. Catharines Museum & Welland Canals Centre is one of the most popular celebrations of pets in the area. You can bring you canine friend to experience this event, with vendors and exhibits, rescue groups, contests, a parade, and more. This year’s theme is the 1970s, so throw on your bellbottoms and head down to the costume contest! The Dog’s Day of Summer will be on August 13 from 11:00am to 4:30pm.

Cinephiles will love the Moonlight Flicks event, taking place throughout August on the following dates:

  • August 2 – Dumb and Dumber (PG-13)
  • August 9 – 50 First Dates (PG-13)
  • August 16 – Inside Out (PG)
  • August 23 – ET the Extra Terrestrial (PG)

Movies, which are subject to change, will begin around dusk (about 9:00pm). Every week, the Moonlight Flicks will be held at Lakeside Park. Just be sure to bring a comfortable lawn chair and blanket, as well as non-perishable food items for a Community Care donation.

Finally, check out the last few days of the Summer Concert Series. This event started back in June, and will go to July 20. There will be great music, wine and beer, artisan vendors, and more. This event is fun for the whole family, as well as a great way to support local musicians.
